When Goldrush were about to put out their first album "Don't Bring Me Down" back in 2002 they were "the next big thing" in the UK, they caused a hysteria that already hailed them as the new COLDPLAY or worse: STARSAILOR. But when the guy who just signed them to VIRGIN left the company before the record even got released, the career collapsed. The band moved back to Oxford, started their own label and decided that from now on to not give a f**k about hypes and majors. They started their own label Truck Records, and even their own, now famous, Truck Festival, that saw performances of Forward Russia, Futureheads, Mystery Jets and Chicks On Speed. Now they're with City Slang and we're all happy.
„Oxford´s country rockers and organisers of Truck Festival (the best festival in the land!) return with an album that sounds like The Flaming Lips playing Wilco´s `Yankee Hotel Foxtrot`.“ NME UK Jan.07
